Meet Branden: Co-Founder and Dedicated Trainer at Lucky Dog K9 Academy

Branden's life has been intertwined with animals from the very beginning. Born and raised in the Pocono Mountains, his earliest memories are filled with the companionship of dogs, thanks to his active involvement with his mother's efforts in the Save A Pet Foundation. His formative years were shaped by experiences ranging from assisting at local dog conformation shows to helping facilitate pet adoptions—a testament to his deep-rooted passion for animal welfare.

Pursuing higher education led Branden to Northeast Ohio, where he attended Kent State University, earned a bachelor's degree, and met his amazing wife, Marissa. His academic journey, while broadening his horizons, also cemented his commitment to working with animals. In 2016, Branden took a significant step towards realizing his professional dreams by starting his career in dog training with Off Leash K9 Training in Cleveland. This role not only honed his skills but also deepened his understanding of canine behavior and training methodologies.

In 2023, driven by a vision to create a more personalized and impactful training environment, Branden collaborated with Jamey and Joe Waechter  to found Lucky Dog K9 Academy. Together they established a facility that reflects a philosophy of compassionate, effective training. Lucky Dog K9 Academy is more than a training center—it's a culmination of their dedication to improving the lives of dogs and their owners.

At Lucky Dog K9 Academy, Branden brings his extensive experience and personal touch to each training session, ensuring that every dog receives the care and attention needed to thrive. His methods are informed by years of practical experience and a deep understanding of canine psychology, aimed at fostering strong, respectful relationships between dogs and their families.

Branden's journey from the mountains of Pennsylvania to the heart of Ohio is a story of passion turned into profession. At Lucky Dog K9 Academy, he continues to dedicate his life to the well-being of dogs, and empowering owners to build lasting bonds with their canine companions.
